چکیده
ABSTRACT The Sunyaev–Zeldovich effect towards clusters of galaxies has become a standard probe cosmology. It is caused by the scattering photons from cosmic microwave background (CMB) hot cluster electron gas. In similar manner, other photon backgrounds can be scattered when passing through medium. This problem been recently considered for radio and infrared background. Here, we revisit discussion (CIB) including several additional effects that were omitted before. We discuss intracluster CIB role relativistic temperature corrections to individual all-sky averaged signals. show distortion introduced field was underestimated factor ?1.5 due neglecting contribution. scatter with thermal electrons both parent halo or another halo, meaning there are two ways gain energy. Therefore, energy essentially transferred twice CIB. carefully clarify origin various in calculation average also single-cluster signal exhibits clear redshift dependence, which used cosmological analyses, as describe analytically numerically. may open new way studies future CMB experiments.

Probing Intracluster Magnetic Fields with Cosmic Microwave Background Polarization
Intracluster magnetic fields with ∼ μG strength induce Faraday rotation on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization. Measurements of this effect can potentially probe the detailed structure of intracluster magnetic fields across clusters, since the CMB polarization is a continuously varying field on the sky, in contrast to the conventional method restricted by the limited number of ra...
متن کاملCosmic Infrared Background and Early Galaxy Evolution
The Cosmic Infrared Background (CIB) reflects the sum total of galactic luminosi-ties integrated over the entire age of the universe. From its measurement the red-shifted starlight and dust-absorbed and re-radiated starlight of the CIB can be used to determine (or constrain) the rates of star formation and metal production as a function of time and deduce information about objects at epochs cur...

متن کاملCosmic infrared background and early stellar populations
Cosmic infrared background (CIB) contains information about galaxy luminosities over the entire history of the Universe and can be a powerful diagnostic of the early populations otherwise inaccessible to telescopic studies. Its measurements are very difficult because of the strong IR foregrounds from the Solar system and the Galaxy. Nevertheless, substantial recent progress in measuring the CIB...
متن کاملFaraday Rotation Effect of Intracluster Magnetic Field on Cosmic Microwave Background Polarization
The observed magnetic field of microgauss strength in clusters of galaxies should induce the Faraday rotation effect on the linearly polarized cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation when the CMB radiation propagates through a cluster at low redshift. The Faraday rotation arises from combined contributions of the magnetic field strength, the electron density, the cluster size, and the chara...
